CHIMNEY CCTV SURVEYING

Chimney CCTV

Chimney camera inspections from Nationwide Chimneys, using Chimney CCTV camera technology to correctly identify the issue with your chimney will save you by preventing incorrect diagnosis and guess work by builders.

Pairic uses a camera probing device to find cracks and other potential defects in chimneys. He carries out these inspections for Tipperary Co Council and insurance companies.

A CCTV Camera inspection of a flue will enable us to detect the existence of many hidden chimney problems, such as breaches in the chimney flue wall, blockages from poorly installed chimney liners, birds nests, fallen debris or damage to the mid-feathers of the chimney (the brick partition between two flues).

In many situations, whereby a homeowner has suffered a chimney fire, one of the first things their insurance company will require is a copy of the cctv survey. This will be used for verification that flue liner damage exists as a result of the chimney fire.

When should you consider having a chimney CCTV inspection survey?

  • If you are experiencing chimney problems such as the smell of smoke a room upstairs or any other room when the fire is going.

  • If there are cracks or smoke spillage marks on walls surrounding the chimney breast or stack.

  • After a chimney fire.

  • If you’ve moved into a new house and want to know the condition of the flue.

  • If you are changing the heating appliance that the flue serves (i.e. if your having a new stove fitted).
